MIAMI (October 14, 2012)--Tropical Storm Paul has formed in the eastern Pacific, well southwest of Mexico's Baja California peninsula and Sunday was 660 miles south-southwest of the southern tip of Baja California, the National Hurricane Center in Miami said.
The storm has top sustained winds of 40 miles per hour and was moving westward at 15 miles per hour.
No coastal watches or warnings were in effect.
The storm is expected to turn to the northwest, decrease speed on Sunday, and then move northward on Monday.
