As Oz Gant accepted the $500 check for this week’s Be Remarkable Award- her quote summed up her character.

“I accept this for the entire community - this should say 'city of Copperas Cove,” she said.

Well maybe the check should say that but it doesn’t, because it seems like the entire city of coppers Cove actually nominated Oz to win the award.

“There were so many people, it just wasn’t like a few, a lot of people. Your name just kept coming up,” noted Danny Daniel, from Daniel Stark Injury Lawyers.

Oz’s generosity doesn’t stop at sharing credit.

“I like to share the blessings. I always say, blessings come in so many shapes and forms - not just monetary,” she explained.

Be Remarkable is a $500 reward, given out by Daniel Stark Injury Lawyers and KWTX to someone who makes the community a better place to live by moving others to serve. And this week’s winner does exactly that.

“That’s my biggest thing, just spread positivity - getting as many people involved as possible to support and help each other- being kind is the biggest thing and just helping - helping people,” Oz said.

She helps by organizing food drop offs for families that have hit hard times, and even paying bills for people.

Nominators noted, if someone reached out with a need, shes there.

So that’s why Danny Daniel with Daniel Stark Injury Lawyers was there with a check to say ‘thank you’ to a remarkable woman, who can’t look away from a person in need.

“I have a passion for helping people, you can’t look away if there is someone in need. If you have the means to help - you shouldn’t look away,” said Oz, through tears.
