WACO, Texas (KWTX) - Indian Spring Middle School in Waco is shifting to fully remote instruction starting Thursday through Jan. 29.

“Although no new cases of COVID-19 were reported by students or staff members today, two cases have been reported so far this week. At this time, we expect at least 29 employees will be out tomorrow,” Joseph Alexander, principal of Indian Spring Middle School said in a message to parents Wednesday evening.

“Most are out after testing positive for COVID-19, being in close contact with someone who tested positive, or experiencing symptoms that could be a sign of the virus. That includes members of our campus leadership team and teachers,” he said.

In-person instruction will resume on Feb. 1.
