WOODWAY, Texas (KWTX) - Michael Steen Gray, who was struck by lightning during a storm Monday in Woodway, was in stable condition Thursday in a local hospital.

Officers found Gray after responding at around 2 p.m. Monday to a report of a bloodied “suspicious person” in the 200 block of Otis Drive.

He was bleeding from the face and was “incoherent,” police said at the time.

Gray had injuries consistent with a lightning strike and officers discovered some of his teeth had been knocked out.

A nearby tree also showed signs of a lightning strike, and bark from the tree was found on Gray, police said.

He was alert as paramedics transported him to a local hospital.
