It’ll be another warm, muggy start with temperatures in the mid 70′s for the commute. We’ll get more sunshine as we progress through the day, bringing highs into the low 90′s again this afternoon. We’ll dip to the upper 70′s tonight with morning lows in the mid 70′s once again for your Saturday. Hot weather will be seen going throughout the weekend with highs in the mid 90′s both days. However, the Heat Index will be at or over 100° both days, so have easy access to cool places if out and about.

Once we get to Monday we’ll have a small disturbance pass by our area in the morning, allowing for a few spotty showers. We’ll be dry in the afternoon, but the heat will back off some to the point where the Heat Index will stay below 100°. We stay in the low 90′s most of the week, but we could dip down to the upper 80′s going into next weekend. The reason being that there’s a chance for a tropical disturbance to move into the state next weekend, but as of now rain chances stay on the lower end.

Remember to stay hydrated, wear light colored clothing, and avoid outdoor exercise during the hottest part of the day. Always be sure to check your backseat when you park, and keep your pets cool and hydrated as well. Also remember that if you cannot hold the back of your hand on the pavement for 10 seconds, the pavement is too hot for your dog’s paws.
