KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) - Police on Sunday identified Cullen McKay Beeson, 21, as the motorcyclist killed in a wreck Saturday afternoon in the 12200 block of State Highway 195 near the City of Killeen Transfer Station.

Police officers were dispatched to scene of the crash involving the motorcyclist and a vehicle shortly before 4:45 p.m. When the officers arrived at the scene, they located the man riding the motorcycle lying in the roadway.

Paramedics arrived and started to perform life saving measures on Beeson, but he “succumbed to his injuries,” police said. Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke pronounced the man dead at the scene. According to investigators, Beeson was wearing a helmet.

Police said the preliminary investigation revealed Beeson was traveling northbound in the inside lane on SH-195.

A white Chevrolet 3500 pickup truck was stopped at a stop sign, but the driver of the pickup then proceeded “to cross the intersection when both the motorcycle and truck collided,” police said.

Investigators with the Traffic Unit are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash and did not get a chance to speak to officers at the scene, to please contact the Killeen Police Traffic Section at (254) 501-8800.
