Restaurant Report Card for June 17, 2021
(KWTX) – Church’s Chicken at 11279 Riverfair Blvd. in Belton got an 82 on a recent inspection.
According to the health worker, there were mold and mildew on the ice machine, soda machine, and floors.
There was also buildup on the vents, walls, ceiling tiles, and heat lamps.
The flour and black pepper seasoning containers had no labels.
And there was mop water on floor from overnight and a bacteria filled squeegee.
Tea Luck at 320 East Central Ave. in Belton got an 87 on a recent inspection.
One of the refrigerators was not holding the temperature properly.
According to the inspector, there was an infestation of sugar ants.
The hot water station was turned off because of a leak.
Asian Buffet at 1104 East Central Texas Expressway in Killeen got a customer complaint.
There were mice droppings underneath the buffet table, and a dead mouse under the buffet in a grill area.
Mice droppings were also found in many areas of the kitchen and storage room.
The inspector didn’t find any live rodents but noted, there were “too many signs” they were there.
Everything had to be cleaned and sanitized.
The restaurant will be inspected monthly rather than twice a year.

The restaurant serves the Texas equivalent of Cajun food including boiled shrimp, crawfish, and crab along with juicy corn, potatoes, and boiled mushrooms.
