KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) - Officers pursued a stolen vehicle Friday through Williamson and Bell counties, but the chase ended after the vehicle struck a car, the driver jumped out, pulled a gun and fired a shot as he tried to run.

The suspect, who was not identified, was arrested without incident and the driver of the Ford Mustang the stolen vehicle struck was not injured, police said.

Killeen officers were advised at around 8 a.m. Friday of the pursuit on northbound State Highway 195.

The driver turned east onto Stan Schlueter Loop, but as he approached the intersection of Stan Schlueter and Trimmier Road, the stolen vehicle hit the Mustang.

After firing the shot, the suspect led officers on a foot chase toward the 4500 block of Trimmier Road, that ended when officers caught and arrested him.
