Area baseball players leave their mark on All-Star game

ROUND ROCK, Texas (KWTX) - Four recent graduates from central Texas represented the region well in the Texas High School Baseball Coaches’ Association All-Star game at Dell Diamond in Round Rock Saturday.

The four players combined to score/bat-in 6 runs in the game.

Troy’s Hagen Rose was named the game’s MVP. He pitched two perfect innings, went 2-2 at the plate with 1 RBI, and scored 2 runs.

Lorena’s Ben Smedshammer hit a 2-RBI-double and played shortstop.

Crawford’s Carter Hooser was hit by a pitch, which happened to him a lot during his career at Crawford. He ended up scoring a run.

Bosqueville’s Jacob Davilla pitched an inning and played 2nd base.
