Clouds stay thick tonight and winds return to the southeast. We are going to see an increase in humidity and heat over the next few days. It will be a big warm up, especially compared to the 80s we had for Tuesday. Tonight temperatures are warmer and only fall into the low and mid 70s.

Tomorrow we expect to see a little more sunshine in the afternoon and high temperatures are back into the 90s, with “feels like” temperatures over 100 degrees. We may see a heat advisory issued lots of places across the area could feel 105 or hotter.

Summer heat really takes over for the rest of the week with highs in the 90s and those dreaded heat index values over 100 degrees through Saturday. We are tracking a potential change to our pattern again by the weekend as a dip in the jet stream could drop us another cold front by Sunday or early next week. It’s still a toss up if this front will come close enough to push through our area, but as of now, we at least anticipate seeing slightly better rain chances from it. We will see how it plays out...
