Final week of June with rain and cooler temperatures
Can you believe it’s already the final week of June? Well the weather doesn’t seem to realize what part of the year we are in with a little bit of an abnormal pattern that gives us scattered to widespread rain along with cooler than normal temperatures! Lows tonight will be in the low 70s with clouds around. As far as rain changes go tonight, they taper off after around 10:00 p.m. but shoot up again tomorrow.
Tuesday has more widespread rain and storms, especially during the afternoon and early evening hours. With the coverage of rain and cloud cover around, we will avoid the 90s tomorrow and likely again on Wednesday. Overall, Tuesday will look and feel very similar to what we had for Monday.
As our upper level low (aka rainmaker) moves farther away from us, rain chances will likely trend lower for the second half of the week with highs returning to the low 90s Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Another summer cold front that brings a showery and stormy weather pattern may set up for 4th of July weekend. If you’re starting to make your outdoor plans, think about an indoor backup. We are still several days out and our thinking on this front may change, but it’s good to have a plan B at this point.
