Belton’s Fourth of July PCRA rodeo begins

WACO, Texas (KWTX) - The PRCA Rodeo began Thursday night at the Bell County Expo. This is the 97th year for Belton to host a 4th of July Rodeo.

Saturday, July 3 is Family Night at the Rodeo with children ages 12 and under getting in free with a paid adult general admission.

“We are excited about bringing back this fun opportunity for our kids to get in the dirt at the Belton Rodeo, and we know that the photo opps will be especially awesome,” stated Randy Pittenger, Belton Area Chamber President/CEO. “The Belton Rodeo is always a great family experience, and one of our goals is to make this year’s rodeo even more affordable and enjoyable for families with young children.”

The three-day PRCA Rodeo at the Bell County Expo serves as a key part of the weeklong 4th of July Celebration in Belton that includes a Downtown Street Party on the Courthouse Square, Carnival in Liberty Park, Patriotic Program and Parade, Festival on Nolan Creek, 50th Annual God & Country Concert, and Backyard Party at Schoepf’s Concert and Fireworks.
