More scattered storms possible Sunday
More scattered storms are possible through the course of the evening. Most of the rain will be below severe limits but there could be one or two storms with hail, strong winds, and heavy rain and lightning. Models are not doing a great job of pin-pointing all of the storms, so an on the go radar, like the free, KWTX weather app will be the best option to monitor storms tonight. Flooding could be a concern for those storms that form and don’t move much -- especially east of I-35 because the ground is very saturated from previous rains.
The scattered nature of rain hold on for the first half of the new workweek. Rain chances both Monday and Tuesday will be around 40%. Storms, once again, are not expected to be severe but there could be one or two strong storms either day. From Wednesday all the way through the following weekend we will have spotty rain chances around 20-30%. We will stay a few degrees cooler than normal for the first few days of the workweek, but as we get closer to the weekend we we could see a full on summer take over with high pressure starting to gain control.
