Chad Vautherine is from Richmond, Texas just outside of Houston and is excited to join KWTX and tell sports stories in his home state.
A former collegiate athlete, Chad played a year of baseball at Schreiner University before transferring to Texas Christian University to earn a degree in sports broadcasting. While at TCU, he worked at the campus radio station, KTCU 88.7 FM, as a sports host and producer.
In 2021, Chad moved out west to pursue a master's degree in sports journalism at Arizona State University. During his time in Arizona, he also interned at Arizona's Family 3TV CBS 5 in Phoenix.
From country music to kolaches and even humidity, Chad enjoys anything and everything about the Lonestar State. He is also a triplet.
