Daffney Dawson joined the KSLA News 12 team in June of 2020.
She has lived in Louisiana for most of her life and became interested in journalism while studying at Millsaps College in Jackson, Miss. While there, she served as the opinion’s editor for the Purple and White newspaper, spent a summer interning for KSLA, and served as an intern for the Mississippi Center for Investigative Reporting.
Daffney graduated from Millsaps with a bachelor’s degree in communication studies, as well as double minors in music and Spanish.
In her spare time, Daffney enjoys traveling, discovering new music, and watching Marvel movies.
