One of his favorite shows to watch growing up was Storm Stories on the Weather Channel, hosted by the one and only Jim Cantore. By the time he reached high school, he knew he wanted to pursue becoming a Meteorologist, getting to intern at the National Weather Service Office in Indianapolis.
He attended Ball State University, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Atmospheric Science in the Fall of 2016. During his time in college, he interned at WISH-TV in Indianapolis, where he first got to step in front of a green screen. From then on, he knew that working in Broadcast would be an absolute blast.
He landed his first job right out of college, working in Rockford, IL at WTVO-WQRF as the Weekend Meteorologist. He worked there for a year and a half before pursuing KWTX. Elliot is very excited to be in a new place, having never been to Texas before.
When he’s not in the studio, Elliot enjoys working out and spending time with his wife and their two dogs, Isabelle and Maggie. He’s looking forward to trying out local steakhouses and good ‘ole Texas barbeque.
He’s enjoying the warmer weather and looks forward to not having to forecast snow in April, which he had to do on several occasions during his time in the Midwest.
