Jenna Bush Hager, the daughter of former President George W. Bush and current anchor of NBC’s “Today” show, is coming to Central Texas as the keynote speaker for the annual Go Red for Women luncheon in Waco.
The annual luncheon to raise money for the American Heart Association begins at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 29, at the Waco Convention Center.
“The American Heart Association is so excited to have Jenna Bush Hager as our keynote speaker for this year’s Waco Go Red for Women Luncheon. Jenna’s passion for helping others and inspiring women is undeniable and we couldn’t be more grateful to have her raise awareness for women’s heart health,”said Janet Ginsburg, the senior director of the American Heart Association in Central Texas
This will be the second stop in just months for the former first daughter.
On Nov. 4, Bush, along with her twin sister, Barbara, made a stop at the Magnolia Silos as part of their book tour for their recently released book “Sisters First: Stories From Our Wild and Wonderful Life.”
This also won’t be the first time a member of the former first family has been the keynote speaker of the Waco event.
In 2014, Laura Bush, spoke to a sold-out crowd at the same location for the group’s 10th anniversary.
KWTX anchor Julie Hays will be emceeing the event.
