Bonds total $105,000 for a woman who was charged following a Labor Day incident in Harker Heights during which a gun was pointed at several people and officers were assaulted while making an arrest.

Chelsea Maleek Jones, 23, of Temple, remained in the Bell County Jail Tuesday charged with terroristic threat causing fear of imminent serious bodily injury and assault on a public servant.

Jones was arrested early Monday morning after Harker Heights officers responded to a report of an armed person in the 300 block of East Knights Way.

The officers detained several people and found the weapon, which turned out to be a pellet gun.

“More than one complainant stated the subject had pointed the weapon at them and they thought the weapon was real, and they were in fear,” police said Tuesday.

During the arrest and as they attempted to put the suspect in a patrol vehicle, officers were assaulted “with hands and feet,” police said.
