ROBINSON, Texas (KWTX) An 18-wheeler burst into flames late Tuesday morning at a home construction site in Robinson.

The fire was reported just before noon in the 600 block of Perry Lane in the Hunton Estates subdivision in Robinson.

The driver told authorities he was attempting to turn around as he prepared to leave the site when he heard a noise and then saw fire.

He attempted unsuccessfully to use an extinguisher to put out the fire.

The driver was able to save a forklift that was loaded on the flatbed trailer, but the trailer and the rig’s cab were heavily damaged.

No one was hurt.
