HEWITT, Texas (KWTX) Three people have been indicted in connection with a New Year’s Eve attack on an elderly Hewitt man.

The McLennan County grand jury handed up indictments charging aggravated robbery Wednesday against Lakeisha Monique Price and Iriana Rutledge and an indictment charging aggravated robbery (habitual) against Ladamion Lamond Majors.

Only Majors remains in the McLennan County Jail where he’s held in lieu of $100,000 bond on the aggravated robbery charge and without bond on the parole violation, according to online records.

Hewitt officers responded to the Walmart on Sun Valley Boulevard at around 11:50 p.m. on Dec. 31 to meet the 80-year-old victim of the assault and attempted robbery that had taken place minutes before at the man’s home in the 100 block of Bowie Lane.

Police say the victim, whose name was not released, was shoved, threatened with a shotgun and held down and punched after refusing to drink with a man who showed up along with two women at his home.

After the man demanded $500 and the keys to a van, the victim was able to escape and drove to the Walmart store from where he called police.

Officers later arrested the three when they returned to the victim’s home at around 5:30 a.m. on New Year’s Day.
