HICO, Texas (KWTX) A Hico teenager was held Tuesday in the Hamilton County Jail charged in connection with a threat to shoot up Hico High School.

Grant Warren, 17, was in custody Tuesday on a personal recognizance bond charged with terroristic threat, a jail records clerk said.

Warren was arrested at his Hico home Monday.

The arrest stemmed from the threat of violence at the school, Hico City Marshal Todd Ward said.

“He had access to weapons and we arrested him as a precaution,” Ward said Tuesday.
