Five people were injured in downtown Bryan when a vehicle drove through a crowd of people on the street outside a bar.

It happened around 2:30 a.m. Saturday in the 400 block of N. Bryan Avenue between W. 22nd and W. 23rd Street near Bar 69.

Police say a crowd gathered on the street as a fight broke out, and during the altercation is when a man driving a Mercedes drove through the crowd of people.

The car swiped an SUV and forced it into a nearby parked Sedan. The driver of the Mercedes took off from the scene, but police were able to recover the vehicle's license plate.
