Teen found dead in car at local Subway was college student

A teenager found dead with a gunshot wound inside a car in the parking lot of a Subway restaurant in South Waco was identified Wednesday as a Texas State Technical College student.

Olton Lane Strickland, 19, was found at around 12:20 p.m. Sunday inside a car in the parking lot of the restaurant at 24 La Salle Ave.

Waco police Detective Eric Trojanowski said Strickland suffered a gunshot wound, but, the cause of death is still under investigation.

Investigators suspect the teenager committed suicide, police said.
