Area resident claims $1 million Powerball prize

(KWTX) A Fairfield resident who purchased a Powerball ticket at a local H-E-B store that won $1 million in the $40 million drawing on June 23 has claimed the prize, Texas lottery officials announced Friday.

The resident, who bought a ticket at the H-E-B store at 1821 South Valley Mills Dr. in Waco that matched all five numbers in the drawing, but not the Powerball number, chose to remain anonymous, lottery officials said.

The winning numbers in the June 23 drawing were 16, 29, 43, 45, and 56. The Powerball number was 25.
