HARKER HEIGHTS, Texas (KWTX) Police made an arrest early Wednesday morning after a man armed with a silver pistol held up a Harker Heights convenience store and escaped with a six-pack of beer and an undisclosed amount of cash.

Reymundo Barron, Jr., 39, of Killeen, was jailed Wednesday in lieu of $100,000 bond charged with aggravated robbery.

The holdup was reported just before 10:30 p.m. Tuesday at Knights Food Mart in the 700 block of East Knights Way in Killeen.

The clerk told officers the robber placed a six-pack of Bud Ice on the counter, pulled out the pistol and said “Give me all the money in the register,” police said Wednesday.

Officers arrested Barron at around 12:45 a.m. Wednesday after responding to a report of a suspicious person in the 300 block of Cattail Circle.

Officers recovered a silver pistol, several rolls of cash and “some other drug contraband,” police said.

They also found two Bud Ice beer cans in the area.

Barron is also named in unrelated warrants, police said.
