Second arrest made in Halloween killing at local apartment complex

WACO, Texas Authorities have arrested a second suspect in connection with a deadly shooting during a Halloween party at a Waco apartment complex.

Krisean Gibson was arrested Monday by the Desoto Police Department on a Waco warrant charging murder, Waco police said in a Facebook post.

He was in the Dallas County Jail Thursday night on a hold for Waco police.

D'airse Holder, 22, a father to a 6-month-old boy, was shot and killed on Oct. 31, 2019 at The Grove Apartments on S. University Parks Drive.

Others at the party drove Holder to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A second victim, identified as Davion Hawkins, was also was taken to a local hospital where he was treated for injuries.

He was later released.

Gibson is the second person charged in connection with the shooting.

Jamarine Jashan Long was arrested in January by the Hillsboro Police Department.

He remains in the McLennan County Jail in lieu of $400,000 bond.
