Authorities identify local man killed in one-car crash

Authorities have identified a man who died in a one-car crash Friday night on State Highway 6 as Jacob Trejo, 24, of Waco.

Trejo died at the scene of the accident, which occurred at around 8:35 p.m. Friday near Baylor Camp Road south of China Spring.

Trejo was driving a Ford Fusion north on the highway when the car veered onto the shoulder, struck a guardrail, crossed the roadway and then slammed into a tree.

Trejo was not wearing a seat belt, authorities said.
