A retired law enforcement officer who now serves as a minister in Gatesville is asking for help in recovering a set of badges from his career that was stolen from his church office.
Gatesville Church of Christ minister Jim Hall told Gatesville police a shadow box was stolen from his office on Jan. 16.
The box contained a collection of various badges he wore during a career in law enforcement.
Hall says he's missing two badges from the Dublin Police Department, a badge from the Clyde Police Department, another from the Callahan County Sheriff's Department, and a City Marshall badge from Baird.
"Most people wouldn't understand the sentimental value of the badges," Hall said.
The minister said the badges are priceless to him and represent his service as a police officer for more than 30 years.
All the badges have either his name or his initials engraved on them.
Authorities are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at (254) 856-TIPS.
