The non-profit organization was established in 1981 and has helped solve more than 3,000 cases and arrest more than 2,500.

Ofelia Miramontez is the coordinator for the program and says their goal is to help make the community safer.

"We do know that people are afraid to call or give the information everything remains anonymous," Miramontez said.

The organization uses Crime Scene Information to take calls and tips.

Calling the tip line isn't your only option.

You can also send a text, submit information online or even use their P3 app.

"There has been a few where tips have come in that have led to the arrest or the location," Miramontez said.

Each case is reviewed by the board. Keith Hughes is the Chairman of the board. They also decide on fundraisers and how much people should be rewarded.

Reward money comes from fundraising and probation fees.

"Knowing the organization that we are a part of had a part in getting that person arrested and off the streets it makes you feel good," Hughes said.

Bell County Crime Stoppers has also helped recover more than $4 million worth of property and confiscated more than $9 million worth of drugs.

The program hopes the community will continue to send tips and be the change in the community.
