Bellmead: Armed men rob business, use pepper spray on employees

BELLMEAD, Texas (KWTX) Investigators are looking for leads after two masked men driving a stolen SUV and armed with handguns used pepper spray on two employees of a Bellmead business, demanded money, and escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The robbery was reported at around 5 p.m. Tuesday at Eddies Tire & Check Cashing at 1422 New Dallas Highway in Bellmead.

The two men, who arrived and left in a 1999 GMC Yukon that was stolen earlier in the day in Waco, entered the business, threatened the two employees with pistols, sprayed both with pepper spray, and demanded money.

The SUV was later found unoccupied, but still running, not far from the business.

The two men are black and were wearing reddish jackets and masks.
