BELLMEAD, Texas (KWTX) Police made an arrest Tuesday in connection with a break-in at a church in Bellmead.

Shatorie Session, 28, of Bellmead, was booked into the McLennan County Jail Tuesday where he’s held in lieu of $3, 000 bond on a burglary of a building charge, according to online jail records.

The charge stems from a break-in on May 28 at the Northside Church of Christ at 2500 Parrish St. in Bellmead.

Police determined the burglar entered the church late that night through a broken window and stole a security camera, camera batteries and a box containing keys to every door of the building, authorities said Tuesday.

He later returned and attempted to enter through the front door of the church using the stolen keys, but was scared off by an alarm, although he stole another camera as he fled, police said.

Tips from residents led to the arrest, police said.
