BELLMEAD, Texas (KWTX) Bellmead police have made arrests in two separate domestic violence cases, in both of which the victims were choked.

Zerek Btron Myles, 31, of Bellmead, was jailed Sunday after Beverly Hills officers advised Bellmead police that he had been taken to a local medical facility.

He was named in arrest warrants stemming from an incident on July 4 in which a 31-year-old woman reported that her ex-boyfriend had choked her and had kicked and damaged her car.

Myles remained in the McLennan County Jail Monday charged with assault/strangulation and criminal mischief.

His bonds total $6,000.

On Saturday, officers who responded to a report of a disturbance just after noon in the 2300 block of Montrose arrested David Freeman, 31, after his 50-year-old wife said she was choked and punched during a disturbance.

He remained in the McLennan County Jail Monday charged with assault impeding breath and on an unrelated Waco charge of arson of a habitation.

Bond on the assault charge was set at $20,000.

Bond had not been set on the arson charge Monday afternoon.
