The BBVA Compass Bank donated the toys to select kindergarten and first grade students from Miller Heights Elementary School.

This was part of the bank’s Blue Elf Project, which aims to assist families financially.

"Some of them, this may be their biggest present, or maybe their only present that they get, and you never know about the spirit of giving,” BBVA Compass Marketing CEO Keith Odom said.

“One little boy said, ‘well, can I take it to my brother?’ So it's very touching."

In addition to the toys, each student also received a $25 voucher for a new savings account.
