Belton: Bridges, brains and 3D kites
A summer enrichment camp is giving gifted and talented Belton ISD students opportunities they typically wouldn’t have in the classroom.
Over two weeks, 165 students in six classes are working on various including 3D animation, programing, dissection of animal brains, crafting 3D kites, and building bridges.
The goal, Advanced Academic Coordinator Christina Flores says, is to “keep them going this summer and just give them a challenge and keep them motivated to learn.”
The students say they can't wait to take what they learned at camp, and work on it all summer.
The camp started Monday and will continue through next Friday.
