BELTON, Texas (KWTX) Over 100 kids piled into Crusader Stadium on Saturday to participate in the United Way of Central Texas' Hometown Huddle.
The event encouraged children, ages 7 to 12, to learn the importance of playing for 60 minutes a day and fighting childhood obesity.
Former University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and Chicago Bears linebacker Jerrell Freeman also gave tips to the kids and signed autographs.
Current Cru players joined eight non-contact sport drills along with coaches from Titan Total Training.
Some of the obstacles included a football tire toss and buddy course.
T3, Don Ringler, Kohl's of Temple, Bancorp South and H-E-B assisted in the event.
