Car careens into backyard, barely missing home
One person was rescued from a car Thursday after it crashed through a fence and came to rest in the backyard of a Waco home.
The crash was reported just after noon at a home near the intersection of 15th Street and Bosque Boulevard.
The car missed the home by inches as it smashed through the gate of the wood slat fence.
The home's air conditioning unit was damaged.
The Waco Fire Department said firefighters worked to free the driver, who was the only person in the car, and had assistance from Waco police and AMR paramedics.
Additional information was not available.
