A driver fled the scene after their car crashed through a mailbox in Harker Heights Wednesday morning.

Police responded to the 400 block of S. Roy Reynolds Dr. just after 2:00 a.m.

Officers said a Chevy Camaro was traveling south at about 40 miles per hour when it veered off of the road and went straight through a brick mailbox.

When the car stopped, the driver took off, leaving the vehicle behind, police said.

There were no suspect descriptions given.

No one was injured.
