A card skimmer was found on a pump Monday at a gas station in Robinson, police said in a Facebook post.
An employee of the Valero Station at 701 North Robinson Dr. found the skimmer and called police.
Officers “noticed the payment door had been tampered with and replaced with the skimmer,” police said.
Authorities aren’t sure how long it was in place.
The other pumps were checked, but none had been tampered with.
Police are encouraging those who purchased gasoline at the station to check credit and debit card statements closely.
In early March a skimmer was found on a pump at the Alon station at 825 West Waco Dr.
Police said it may have been there for several months and advised anyone who had purchased gasoline at the station since November 2018 to check statements carefully.
