Central Texans hopeful for chance to be contestant on “Survivor”
Many Central Texans gathered at the Temple Mall Saturday morning to prove that they should be the next contestant on the hit show “Survivor.”
A few contestant hopefuls in line told News Ten that they’re ready for the challenge and want to prove that they’re more than just fans.
One young man, Austin Lanning, was camping outside of the mall since 5 p.m. Friday so he could be the first in line.
“I heard this was my one shot," he said.
"So I got my car, sleeping bag, head shot, resumes of credentials since the seventh grade that I still think are relevant, recommendation letters on my google drive; anything they need, I got."
The new season will start taping next year.
