WACO, Texas (KWTX) A Temple native is carrying on a legacy of Navy service dating back to 1942.
David Crittenden is based in Guam as part of the Seabees, construction experts who've served in all American conflicts since World War II.
They also support humanitarian projects around the world helping people recover from natural disasters like hurricanes and earthquakes.
Crittenden is a Navy electronics technician.
He graduated from Central Texas Christian School in 2011 and credits his success to his parents and teachers.
Crittenden says they taught him how to use critical thinking to come up with creative solutions.
He's part of the 30th Naval Construction Regiment.
