ITASCA, Texas (KWTX) About a dozen Union Pacific train cars derailed Monday in Hill County.

The derailment occurred off State Highway 81 just outside of Itasca.

No injuries were reported and no hazardous substances were involved.

Most of the derailed cars are flatbeds.

The train was hauling some hazardous material, but those cars were positioned close to the locomotives and did not leave the tracks.

A tanker car containing diesel fuel did leave the tracks, but remains intact and was not leaking, officials said.

The Hill County Sheriff's Office, Hillsboro Fire Department, Hill County Emergency Management, Careflite, and Oncor all responded.

Careflite was not needed and a power line was knocked down but officials were unaware of any customers being affected.
