The Navarro County Sheriff's Office was asking for the public's help Tuesday in identifying and locating the suspect and vehicle involved in a hit-and-run that left a 7-year-old girl seriously injured.
The girl was struck just before 8:30 p.m. Monday on NW CR 4160 near Frost, the Texas Department of Public Safety said.
The driver of the older model white SUV, which may have been a Chevrolet Trail Blazer, did not stop after the girl was hit.
The SUV should have front-end damage on the passenger side, the DPS said.
Family members drove the injured girl to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Waxahachie, from which she was flown by helicopter to another hospital, Navarro County Sheriff Elmer Tanner said.
Investigators are asking anyone with information to call the sheriff’s office at (903) 654-3001.
