ROGERS, Texas (KWTX) A Rogers man was held Tuesday in the Bell County Jail after his arrest on a charge of sexual assault of a child.

Matthew Oliver Freshour, 22, was ordered held on bonds totaling $75,000 charged with sexual assault of a child and was held on two other warrants, online jail records showed.

An affidavit issued in connection with the case says on May 2, 2017, a 17-year-old girl went to the Rogers police station to report she had been sexually assaulted by someone she knows.

She reported her assailant came home high and drunk and began sexually assaulting her.

The victim told her mother who said the attack was brought on by the suggestive clothing the girl had been wearing and she said “I told you how he was,” the affidavit says.
