Central Texas sheriff out of the hospital after health scare
Coryell County Sheriff Scott Williams was out of the hospital Wednesday after a health scare.
Williams was hospitalized last week with what the Coryell County Sheriff’s Office described in a Facebook post Wednesday as a heart problem.
“He did not have a heart attack, however he did have a problem with his heart,” the post said.
“Fortunately they were able to resolve the issue with a medical procedure the doctors performed yesterday,” the post said.
“He has been released from the hospital and is currently at home resting,” the post said.
Williams is in his first term as the county’s sheriff.
He was elected in 2016, succeeding Johnny Burks, who did not seek re-election after vowing to serve for only three terms.
