Central Texas woman dies in head-on crash

A head-on collision Tuesday evening one mile east of San Saba left a woman dead and a man seriously injured.
The Department of Public Safety Wednesday identified the victims as Ashley Torres, 32, of San Saba and Jack Sobish III, 35, of Copperas Cove.
Torres died at the scene of the accident, which occurred at around 5:20 p.m. Tuesday on U.S. Highway 190.
Sobish was taken to Brownwood Regional Medical Center with what DPS Sgt. David Roberts said were incapacitating injuries.
Investigators determined that Torres was headed west on the highway in a 2015 Chevrolet Trax when she crossed the center stripe and her SUV collided head-on with the 2010 Dodge pickup that Sobish was driving, Roberts said.
