KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) A woman who told police that two men wearing uniforms and riding in a white Ford Crown Victoria with flashing red and blue lights pulled her over has been arrested after authorities determined the incident didn’t happen.

Brittany Neshay Garrett, 29, is charged with false report.

She was in the Killeen City Jail Tuesday evening.

The charge stems from an investigation that started after a woman reported on Oct. 26 that she was pulled over by two men who searched her and then left the area.

“The incident did not happen,” police said in a press release Tuesday.

The arrest warrant for Garrett was issued Monday.

"The Killeen Police Department takes the safety and trust of our citizens very seriously," police Chief Charles Kimble said.

“We would like to remind the community that if you are ever concerned about being pulled over by a police officer, you could always ensure that you pull over in a well-lit, populated area and call 911 if you feel the need to verify it is a police officer making the traffic stop.”
