The Chick-fil-A on Franklin Avenue in Waco reopened its drive-thru Wednesday morning after months of remodeling work.

The restaurant's drive-thru will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 9: 00 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

"We'll keep you all updated here as to when our normal hours of operations resume and when our dining room can be reopened," the restaurant said in a Facebook post.

"Thank you so much for the support during this process. We love you Waco and look forward to serving you again with our new and improved kitchen."

The restaurant closed on Friday, January 17, 2020 so crews could remodel its kitchen.

It had been serving customers with its food truck in the Walmart parking lot, but the menu and hours were limited.

Management encouraged patrons to visit the Chick-fil-A inside the Richland Mall, but that restaurant closed momentarily after one of its employees tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

All restaurants in Waco and McLennan County have been forced to close dine-in sections as a result of the pandemic.
