WACO, Texas (KWTX) The soggy weather was taking a toll on the first day of the Christmas at the Silos celebration Friday in downtown Waco.

The two-day festival got underway Friday morning.

But because of the rain, vendors participating in the event's vendor fair had the option of closing as early as 1 p.m.

The food trucks at the Silos closed at 1 p.m.

Magnolia Market remains open until 8 p.m. Friday.

Friday’s movie night has not been cancelled, but “we understand the unfortunate impact the weather will have,” publicist John Marsicano said.

Those who purchased $10 movie tickets will receive $10 store credits that can be redeemed Friday night at Magnolia Market.

The book signing by “Today” show co-anchor Hoda Kotb Saturday afternoon has also been cancelled because of the impact of the wintry storm system on air travel.

All other Saturday events are expected to continue as scheduled.
