Funeral services for Copperas Cove High School student Alexander Stout, 16, who was struck and killed by a train on March 22 near the school, are this weekend in Illinois.

Visitation will be from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Vienna, Ill.

A funeral service is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. at the church.

Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery near Buncombe, Ill.

Stout was a sophomore who played baritone saxophone in the Pride of Cove Marching Band.

He was walking on the railroad tracks when the westbound train struck him, police said.

He died at the scene.

The two BNSF employees who were on the train were not hurt.

The train was en route from Sweetwater to Temple at the time of the accident.
