Waco: Early-morning house fire displaces six local residents
A house fire that broke out before dawn Tuesday in North Waco displaced a family of six.
Crews responded at around 5:30 a.m. to the home in the 3000 block of Edmond Avenue.
Heavy smoke was coming from the home when the first crews arrived.
The fire was under control within about 10 minutes.
A smoke alarm alerted the residents who escaped safely.
The fire caused heavy damaged to the kitchen a utility closet and the attic of the home.
One firefighter suffered a minor injury.
The cause is under investigation.
